ATLANTA — November 1, 2000 — Nucleus Medical Art announced today that it will contract with First Marketing, a Florida-based marketing/communications agency, to produce custom animation content for the new Interactive Merck Manual. First Marketing will be leading the project and creating the web site design and architecture.

Under the agreement, Nucleus will provide over 80 richly detailed interactive animations for inclusion in the online version of the popular medical reference text. The interactive animations are to cover a wide variety of general health topics and will reside alongside additional new content including video, audio, photography and illustration.

Launch of new Merck Manual Interactive Home Edition is scheduled for the first quarter of 2001. It will be accessible from Merck's main site at http://www.merck.com
