| Nucleus Medical Art Partners with SciTrek on "Human Body" Exhibit
ATLANTA - September 4, 2003 - Nucleus Medical Art, a leading creator of visual content for healthcare marketing and education, announced today that it has partnered with SciTrek, the Science and Technology Museum of Georgia, to produce a new permanent installation entitled "BioTrek: Engineering the Human Body". The new exhibit gives visitors a better understanding of the significant role of health care research and development as well as illustrates how engineering and medicine work together to improve an individual's quality of life
"We are thrilled and flattered to be a part of SciTrek's latest installation", said Ron Collins, CEO and Co-Founder of Nucleus. "The inclusion of large-scale medical graphics clearly enhances the educational utility of this display."
Nucleus contributed a number of full-color, large-scale medical illustrations to the new exhibit. Visitors get a close up view of a human heart and learn how blood flows through it, "pump up" a synthetic heart valve, discover how a pacemaker functions in order to regulate an individual's heart beat, and see how a defibrillator is used to help a person after sudden cardiac arrest. In addition, visitors can compare the movement of natural joints to prosthetic joints, explore the benefits of an insulin pump, and learn how to read an electrocardiogram (EKG) strip.
