Impaction and Surgical Repair of Multiple Primary Teeth

ID: exh60529
This stock medical exhibit portrays the impaction and surgical repair of multiple primary teeth in a child. The first image shows the pre-operative condition, with trauma induced root resorption of the primary molars and resulting necrosis of permanent teeth 12 and 13. The second image shows the post-operative condition, after extraction of the first primary molar and permanent teeth 12 and 13, and a pulpotomy placement of a stainless steel crown on the second primary molar. The remaining images detail future procedures which will be required as the child grows. These include the placement of titanium screws in the jaw and the placement of permanent custom crowns.
